What no one wants to talk about

One may ask why didn’t the Doctor tell me. For one reason it is not a disease and another reason it could manifest itself with many symptoms.

A normal intestine’s purpose is to digest food and bring the perfect nutrition to the bloodstream to nourish the rest of the body. Our intestines have tiny holes about 1-7 microns in order for transportation to the blood stream. With leaky gut those holes widen to 200-300 microns. Massive undigested food and toxins go through to the bloodstream. At this time, our immune system reacts and attacks with antibodies. These opens of the intestine wall is a breakdown.

As Dr Berg states its like scurvy of the colon. For example, have you ever brushed your teeth and your gums started to bleed? Well, it’s because of the breaking down of blood vessels in your gums then bleeding occurs. It is believed that there is a Vitamin C deficiency in the body. Vitamin C develops collagen formation. Don’t feel you are the only one that has this. There are millions of people who has this problem and no until recently good information has been coming out about this.

Symtoms of Leaky Gut


You may see hair loss, dry skin, poor weight loss, chronic fatigue, brain fog, neurologic brain trauma, depression, Graves disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Hashimoto, diarrhea, constipation, hormone imbalances, parasitic infection, intestinal virus and imbalance of candida growth.

Some of these symptoms could be found in other disease processes. The problem with leaky gut is that if it is left unchecked, it could lead to inflammation and your body would be unable to absorb good nutrition.

Causes of Leaky Gut


Use of Glutens (White flour and rice), Refined sugars cholesterol, alcohol, medications (any coating gut med like antacids, hormonal imbalance (estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, antibiotic, steroids, infections, SIBO, candida, neurological brain trauma like concussions. H-pyloric over production (ulcers), intestinal viral (flu), yeast overgrowth, parasitic infection, Metabolic advance glycated end (Parkinson), vagal nerve dysfunction (constipation and difficulty with absorption of nutrition) and of cause STRESS (elevate cortisol, norepinephrine and epinephrine. Poor production of serotonin.

Healing Leaky Gut

The first food we use to combat leaky gut is bone broth. Depending on how severe your leaky gut is, you must have at least 6-8 ounces of bone broth 3 to 5 times a day.

You can make your own bone broth. I usually bake a whole chicken or turkey usual baking time then once cooled remove meat from the carcass. Simmer the carcass for 6-7 hours.

The second most important produce is L-glutamine. L-glutamine is an amino acid that is found in our brain, gut, muscle and liver cells. These L-glutamine is usually depleted during stress. This usually found with the vitamin aisle. Collagen taken at least 1-2 times a day may help with joints and muscle. Please add few vitamins like vitamin C, fish oil, multivitamins. Apple cider vinegar give your gut the balance acidity it needs. Probiotics needs to be taken 30 minutes before a breakfast or as you eat a meal. Avoid potatoes and tomatoes. No bread please. Avoid caffeine as much as possible. No sugar or sweetener. If you really need that sugar use honey.

Water is very important. You should have at least 64 ounces of fluids unless you Doctor instructed you differently. The very young and elderly suffer with dehydration. Dehydration can cause a problem with the kidneys. Please discuss this with your Doctor.
